Locating Dalhousie History – Restigouche Regional Museum

dalhousie_park.jpg

Grab a GPS and explore the history of Dalhousie. Begin at the local museum and head to Rotary Park, where you’ll meet your first storyteller. Navigate from site to site locating local landmarks, art deco architectural gems, distinguished family homes and the oldest cemetery in town. The second storyteller will greet you on your way to Inch Arran Park. You’ll listen to tales of famous people who slept in the Inch Arran Hotel before it was destroyed by fire in 1921, then on to Inch Arran Lighthouse, a well-known beacon to boats on Chaleur Bay. This delightful treasure hunt encourages you to explore at your own pace before heading back to the museum for a snack and surprise.
